ABOUT THE WEEKEND

This is the seventeenth annual “We Can Weekend” in Marion county and is one

Of many “We Can Weekends” that are

Held throughout the United States.

This retreat is ideal for individuals who have been diagnosed with cancer within the last few years.  However, any cancer survivor can attend.  Families are also invited to attend the retreat.  From this one-day experience, we hope that families and cancer survivors will learn:

1.      Additional resources for how to manage cancer and resulting health problems.

2.      Ideas for improving diet and exercise to benefit treatment and recovery.

3.      New advancements in the treatment of specific types of cancer.

4.      Strategies for enhancing your quality of life while living fully with cancer.

The staff is comprised of caring people including medical doctors, family therapists, health care professionals, cancer survivors and students.

WHO CAN ATTEND

Adult cancer patients, spouses, families (no children under 16) are invited to attend.  Unfortunately no child care will be provided.  While this retreat would be ideal for anyone who has recently been diagnosed with cancer, all cancer survivors are eligible to attend.  Space is limited to FIVE total people per registration.  If there is more than five in your family, special arrangements must be made, so please call.
